My Sacred Story
My own journey to spiritual direction began as a Baptist preacher’s granddaughter in church every time the doors were open. As I grew, I sensed a calling to serve in Christian ministry. I followed an educational path earning a BS in Human Development from the University of Alabama and an MA in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. I spent two years in spiritual formation training, earning a Spiritual Direction certification with Metagem Institute, where I now serve as faculty. Everything has led me to a place of learning to see and celebrate my own sacred story, and a desire to walk alongside others as they examine their own story. I am a United Methodist clergy, a pastoral counselor, and a lifelong learner. I care deeply for families and young people navigating life in the LGBTIA+ community. I am especially attuned to issues of grief and loss as a widow. I am particularly interested in Eco-Spirituality, Celtic Spirituality, Enneagram work, and using creativity to nourish and engage your soul. I am ready to meet you where you are. As your spiritual director, it is my honor to walk alongside you in your sacred story.
